Out of all the holidays, I have to say that Valentine’s Day is my least favorite. Honestly, I really don’t even like to celebrate it. However, any excuse to give or receive wine as a gift is okay in my book! That’s why when WINC reached out to me, wanting to send some of their gift boxes that are perfect Valentine’s Day gift ideas for her (or him), I was really excited to bring them to you all. Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for her or him from WINC. Despite my feelings for Valentine’s Day, my feelings about wine will always be the same. Wine gift sets are probably one of my favorite gifts to receive, and these sets from WINC, in partnership with some deliciously amazing companies, are a no brainer!

I received two different gift sets to review for WINC. The first was the Compartés x Prismus box. This box contains a set of amazing, decadent truffles, made with sea salt and vanilla bean, along with a bottle of Cabernet. I won’t even try to lie to you and say that I gave these away… I ate them for myself. They were hands down the most delicious chocolates I have ever had in my life. The packaging is done really well. It’s extremely elegant and sturdy, which makes it look and feel expensive.

The 2013 Prismus Cabernet was fantastic. Prismus Cab leans towards the bold side, as far as red wines go. It is fairly high in tannins, and dry, but smooth at the same time. This red wine paired wonderfully with the sweetness and salty notes of the truffles.  Get this box as a Valentine’s Day gift idea for her, or for yourself, here. It retails for $75.

The second box that I received for review was the Sugarfina x Paper Crane Box. I would say this box is more for your Valentine who loves their sweets. It contains a trio of Sugarfina’s “Cheers” chic aqua box. This box includes, “Champagne Bears”; sour-twisted Bubbly Bears; and “Champagne Bubbles,” delicate, sweet gummies. These candies are absolutely adorable and really tasty, and they actually use high end champagne to infuse the flavor into them. Sadly, they are non-alcoholic… but hey, at least you can share with your kids if you really wanted to;) Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for her or him from WINC. Wine always makes the best gifts for the adults in your life. Check out these gift boxes! The Paper Crane Blanc de Noirs is a sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This sparkling wine is created using the traditional (and more expensive) way of creating the bubbles, making the bubbles smaller.. therefore giving you less of a hangover if you decided to drink the bottle on your own. It is infused with notes of apple and blackberry, and is a really fabulous sparkling wine. It isn’t overly sweet, and it could be saved for a special occasion. This box retails for $65.

If I had to recommend one box, it would be the Compartés x Prismus gift box. The pairing of the two was to die for, and you just can’t beat red wine and chocolate for Valentine’s Day! The second gift box was really nice, and the candy was adorable, but I love my red wine and chocolate. The Sugarfina x Paper Crane box would make an excellent gift for a girlfriend’s birthday, a bridal shower, and occasions such as those. Which box would you choose to give (or receive) this Valentine’s Day?
