I start week 34 today (Monday) and am still amazed at how quickly these weeks are going by. Every time I post a new update, it’s almost a shock to realize how little time I have left in this pregnancy.
We had an ultrasound a few days ago that showed our stubborn little girl is still breech. She is actually what they call a “complete breech” which is butt first against my cervix, sitting cross-legged. Now it’s on to other measures to get her to flip around.
The babies also weigh 4 pounds 9 ounces each:) It doesn’t feel like I am carrying around 9 pounds of baby…
33 Weeks Pregnant With Twins
Genders and Names: Boy/Girl Fraternal Twins. Oliver and Annabelle:) You can read more about the reasons behind their names and pictures of the big surprise in our Gender Reveal.
Weight Gain: I am headed into my 34th week now and from my U/S appointment last Friday, I have gained about 27 pounds total. I gained a little under a pound from my doctor’s appointment a week and a half ago.
Labor Signs: I have been getting more crampy and feeling like there is a lot more weight down there. No direct signs of labor though.
Sleep: More like “lack of”. My girls had a cold, which I then caught, so none of us have been sleeping well. Not to mention the fact that I am up repeatedly during the night for a variety of reasons including anxiety, having to pee, and my three-year-old kicking me off the bed.
Food Cravings: I could have an Orange Julius everyday of my life right now, and never get tired of them!
Food Aversions: Food in general. I eat just like normal but nothing appeals to me. I honestly don’t know how doctors can put people on such a high diet in terms of calories. I am 100% healthy even though I haven’t gained a ton, but there is no that I could eat an extra 600 calories a day!
Symptoms: Feeling much more tired lately and like a roller coaster emotionally. It’s a constant up and down of being excited, but nervous, and worried, but so happy to finally meet these babies!
Clothing: This was the first “down” week we have had in a long time, so I have just been LOVING my yoga pants from VS. Can’t live without them:) At this point in pregnancy, I feel like unless you have to go somewhere, sticking around the house, trying to take it easy (near impossible for me), and staying in comfy clothes is the best choice! Exciting Moments: Our ultrasound was fun to go to since I have never seen a baby this late in pregnancy on an U/S. It is really amazing how much you can make out since they are so big now. They were head to head in my belly, probably plotting their escape in the near future;) I went to the chiropractor this past weekend after we found out that Baby A was still breech, in order to try to help turn her. The chiro I saw was SO knowledgeable and helped to ease the anxiety that I have been overwhelmed with lately (at least while I was there). I’ve never been to the chiropractor and while the experience itself wasn’t my favorite, I am thankful that there is a strong chance it will help flip this baby the right way.
Thoughts from this past week:
- I am beyond thankful to have a husband that supports all of my wishes for a natural birth and is such a strong advocate for helping me get that. He would do anything to stand up for me and for that I can’t put into words how grateful I am.
- I really need this baby to turn the right way! This overwhelming anxiety I feel just needs to go away so that I can try to enjoy these last weeks of pregnancy.

I cannot wait to see what those gorgeous babies look like 🙂

Aww thank you:) I can’t wait either!
OMG 27 pounds.. can I just say that I hate you! (just a tiny bit!) With both my kids I gained 5 pounds as soon as I saw the positive pregnancy test! Haha! Even with my second I tried so hard to eat well (& my hubby is a dietitian, so I had help!) but I still gained a TON of weight! I am sure that baby will turn soon, a friend of mine went to the chiro and her breech baby flipped 🙂

Hahahahah “as soon as I saw the positive test”… I KNOW that’s not true with how tiny you are now! I am really hoping the chiro helps, she seems very confident!
Wow you look fantastic! Excited to see the little ones when they get here 🙂 Good luck on relaxing and enjoying the last couple of weeks!

Thanks lady:)
I’m so envious of your weight! I gained 60 pounds three times and only have one baby each time! LOL I hope she has some room to flip around in there for you…she may just have her own way of doing things! LOL The time is flying by and I’m so excited for you and your family! Get some rest!!! I’m sure you’ll be needing it!

Thank you:)
Yeah, I’m almost 29 weeks now and I’ve gained right at 20 pounds, but I only have ONE baby in there! I have been so not hungry lately that I haven’t gained since week 24. I haven’t lost either though, so my doctors don’t seem worried. The anxiety (aka sheer terror) reared it’s ugly head at me last week. I am just so terrified our house won’t be ready and of all the pain of healing after. I am not a good patient. I just can’t imagine how you’ve kept your cool with two coming and a move. You’re like a goddess, lady. Prayers and positive vibes for little miss to turn!
