Top Phoenix Hotels For Staycations/Weekend Getaways

If you have been following me for any length of time, you know that I LOVE staycations. With a family of six, it is so much easier to travel with a family of six, when you are only traveling a few minutes away to one of your favorite local hotels. In Arizona, there are a ton of great places to go to and stay at. These venues are the top Phoenix hotels for staycations and weekend getaways, based on my experience, cost efficiency, atmosphere, and locations.

Looking for a place to get out of the heat? Check out these top Phoenix hotels! These spots around Scottsdale and Tempe are the perfect getaway!

I have personally stayed at each of these hotels, and like them all for different reasons. Let me know if you have stayed at any of these, and which you prefer!

Top Phoenix Hotels

Hotel Adeline:

This is the cutest spot for a girls weekend away! We recently stayed at Hotel Adeline for a going-away weekend, and it was the best! They have a fun pool area, countless spots for photos, and they are close to Old Town Scottsdale so there are plenty of activities. I am obsessed with the scenery around the grounds, and it’s smaller, so it isn’t overly crowded.

Hotel Valley Ho:

This is the perfect “girls weekend” spot in Arizona. The pool vibe is amazing and so much fun during the pool season. We loved visiting and getting to enjoy some time in the cabana. The food at Zuzu, which is their on site resultant, is PHENOMENAL. It is one of my favorite parts of the hotel by far. Plus, the rooms are really retro-chic and adorable! Check out the complete review of Hotel Valley Ho here.

Mountain Shadows:

A partner of the hotel above, this is my favorite spot for couple’s getaways. My husband and I went here and just loved the atmosphere. It has recently been redone, and it is in a very serene little spot, slightly away from the traffic and the business of other hotels. We really loved the pool area, and just the relaxed vibe that the hotel give off. They also have a great “short course” for golfing, and the scenery that surrounds that is just stunning! Read full review of Mountain Shadows here.

Westin Kierland Resort & Spa:

This was such a fun hotel for a family staycation. They are really geared towards children, and had so many fun activities for our kids (and for us!) The Westin Kierland also has a babysitting program, where you can drop your kids off while you go to dinner or out on a date. Plus, there are a variety of different activity camps for kids as well. The pool area was made for families, and they even had a wade-in section that is perfect for non-swimmers and littles. Such a fun resort! See the complete review of our stay at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa here.

Graduate Tempe:

This is a super fun spot if you are trying to get away for an evening or a short weekend, or if you have an event in Tempe and want a place close by. It is near Mill, and all of the nightlife, but far enough away that you don’t get all of the noise. Plus, the restaurant they have on site for lunch and dinner, Tapacubo, is AMAZING! It is a very retro-themed hotel, with a ton of fun colors and perfect spots for photos.

You can find a lot of images from this venue on our Instagram page.

What are your top Phoenix area hotels or hotels where you live?

A big thanks to Toyota for letting us spend many of these staycations trying out their line of vehicles. This is their 2018 Toyota CH-R we used on our most recent stay at Hotel Adeline. You can click on the other staycations to check out the 4Runner and the Sequoia as well.

*Cheers to vacations close to home*

Love the idea of weekend getaways, especially in a city with lots to do. One of us prefers lounging at the hotel and sporting events, but we both like trying new restaurants and going to the theater. Great tips about acknowledging physical limitations and about the medications. In hot climates, know the signs of dehydration and heat illness; heat kills.

These all look like great places to stay. The hubby and I have been talking about a staycation in our local town.
