Today is my oldest’s third birthday. My little St. Patrick’s Day baby is growing up so fast that I can hardly believe I gave birth to her three years ago already!
She has been my pride and joy from the second I found out that I was pregnant with her. I couldn’t imagine life without her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, and the huge heart that she has. She is one of my most precious gifts and I thank God every day that I get to be her mommy.
We decided to have a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party for her since she adores Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and all of the characters in it. Since the weather here is only going to be bearable for a few more months (it was 90 degrees on the day of her party), we had it outside at one of our favorite parks. Here are some photos and details from her party this past weekend.
Mickey Mouse Birthday Party
I made the invitations in the shape of Mickey’s head and just added in a removable insert with all of the party information on it. I think these turned out really well:)
We decorated the park in all things red, yellow, and black with some bright colors thrown in there as well. We are lucky that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has so much color, so the theme was easy to color coordinate. There were more Mickey Mouse balloons then we knew what to do with, and we made a very bright addition to our little section of the park.
The birthday girl and her sister wore matching mouse ears:) It was an obvious “must” for this birthday!
All of the food had labels that went along with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Characters. Most of the food was either similar to their name or went along with what they do in the show.
I also had the treats in the theme of Mickey Mouse, with Mickey Mouse shaped marshmallow treats, the treat bags filled with all things Mickey Mouse (candy, themed crafts, bubbles), as well as little boxes that were filled with red and yellow candies as well.
I made this poster and had everyone write her a little birthday message so that I could hang it up in her room for her. I have had something like this for people to sign since her 1st birthday, so it just seems like a tradition now!
Her cake was by far the best part. Made by one of her aunts, it was colorful, beautiful, and absolutely went along with our Mickey Mouse theme!
Happy birthday to our sweet girl! The day was great, she had a blast, and I loved watching her enjoy every bit of it!
What is your favorite themed party you have thrown?

Thank you! It is:) My husband has a thing for names that are two put together- Emmalee, Gracelynn, Annabelle –
My Emmalee got her name/spelling because dad really wanted Emma and mom wanted Emily! Now she goes by Em, Emma and Emmalee!
