If you have been with me for a while you know that I pretty much love anything makeup related. I also happen to love all things fall and winter. They are my favorite seasons by far!
I was going through my makeup trying out some new looks for the season and I decided to share the lip products that I think are a staple for the upcoming seasons and that I think will look great on many different ladies!
Best Fall Lipsticks
Here are my choices for favorite fall lippies (pictured above (backwards), from right to left):
Revlon Super Lustrous “Black Cherry”:
This is for all of you daring ladies out there looking for a really dark color. Don’t be afraid of it! It looks really great on so many different skin types and different people. It is a really deep cherry/berry color that I love to pair with a light gray smokey eye look or a fairly neutral and not dramatic eye look. It is one that I will be wearing a lot in the fall and winter seasons. ($5.39)
Revlon Super Lustrous “Mauvy Night”:
This is a gorgeous dusty plum lipstick that contains just the right amount of color but doesn’t come off as being “Ode to Barney” purple. There are also some slight berry undertones, depending on the light. It is has a gorgeous shine to it and is quite moisturizing when wearing it. Revlon lipsticks are some of my favorites from the drugstore! ($5.39)
MAC “Captive”:
This and Mauvy Night from Revlon I just mentioned are similar in color! In person, they each take on their own tones. Captive is a raspberry lipstick that just has a light plum undertone to it, compared to the opposite in Mauvy Night. It is also much more pigmented than the Revlon lipstick and is going to give you a bold color payoff. They are both gorgeous for fall (just have a much different price tag!) ($16)
MAC “Viva Glam 1”:
This matte deep red lipstick is gorgeous for any time of year, but especially for the color months. It is a true blood-red color that looks gorgeous on just about anyone. I love red lipsticks because ones without any orange undertones usually have the power to look beautiful while making your teeth look whiter! This color reminds of a retro red that every lady wore back in 1940’s. Not to mention, the full sale of Viva Glam lipsticks from MAC go to their AIDS research fund which is such a great cause. ($16)
MAC “Blankety”:
This is an amplified finish that has a ton of pigment! The color is really rich and it lasts for quite a few hours. It is a really pretty brownish pink nude color. If you want to amp this color up, or tone down the purple in Mauvy Night or Captive, layer this over the top! It will nude them down a little bit but it creates the most beautiful light, dusty purple color. ($16)
Rimmel Showoff Lip Lacquer “Nude Eclipse”:
I love nude lip colors any time of year, but this lip lacquer (opaque gloss) is gorgeous for toning down any of these darker colors and making them easier to wear for the ladies that don’t want any extremely bold or colorful lip. It is the perfect light pink brown toned nude color that will leave your lips super shiny! It is pretty close to my natural skin tone which is olive with a few pink tones. ($5.79)
Don’t these swatches just scream fall to you?? I know… that’s how I feel.

*Cheers to falling in love with fall colors*
I should try out the Mac Blankety, You know how it is with olive tone skins and finding a great nude with out washing out your lips. My favorite red is from Benefit. I am going to treat myself to some new lips tomorrow though.
It is one of my all time favorite colors! It’s just beautiful! You might even try out Freckletone or Hue, since your skin is a tad lighter then mine! Both really beautiful brown nudes.
I am having such a hard time with lip color right now. This helps! And is cheaper than me just buying them and trying them on and not liking them and throwing them (and my money apparently) in a drawer. Ha! I really love the Mac Blanketly. I’ll have to find that. (found you via SITS ;))
Blankety is one of my favorites for all year! Love it! Captive and Mauvy Night are both beautiful colors that aren’t to bold for the fall! Let me know if you try them out:)
[…] lipstick is perfect for fall. It would go along perfect with the other fall lippies I showed in a prior post. It’s a gorgeous mauvy-brown color and it’s actually really […]
