Cheers everyone! For this week’s wine review, we are taking about something bubbly. I’ve never reviewed one of these on this blog before, so I was really excited for it. Not to mention, its gorgeous pink hue. The Grand Cadeau Rosé is sure to be a winning choice for summer parties, this season’s celebrations, and basically anytime you want a change-up from your typical white or red wines, like any given Tuesday:)
A few weeks ago, we took a trip to Virginia, and my sister-in-law threw a wine party via Wine Shop at Home. One of her friends who works with the company brought over six different wines for us to try, including the Grand Cadeau Rosé, and we got to
drink all of sample them. 😉
Come on… I won’t waste wine if it’s open and needing to be consumed.
Grand Cadeau Rosé
This wine is a combination of different varietals including Ruby Red, Chardonnay, Muscat, Pinot Grigio, and Viognier. It has a gorgeous pink color that is just perfect for a girls night in or a brunch toast.
Bouquet: Floral with notes of orange, and a hint of raspberry and watermelon
Tasting Notes: This is a fairly dry Rosé with just the right amount of sweetness to balance it. You really pick up on the orange as well as the watermelon flavors. Raspberry gives a hint of brightness to the palate.
I picked up on the orange and citrus notes right away. I love how this plays with the bubbles. It isn’t an overly sweet bubbly, which I really enjoy. It’s quite refreshing in these extremely hot Arizona months. I would give this a 4.5 out of 5. I am in love and will be ordering another bottle.
This pairs well with things like cheesecake, light appetizers like cheddar and swiss cheese plates, and things of that nature. This paired with some grilled chicken skewers on a summer night is perfection!
