Happy Wine Wednesday everyone!
I have repeatedly told you all how much I love, adore, have an obsession with, and find a huge amount of tasty enjoyment in the Dreaming Tree “Crush” Red blend (review on it here) . It is at the top of my list for reds I love and I highly recommend it to anyone no matter what your specific wine taste is.
Recently I made a discovery of two other types of wine from the Dreaming Tree brand that I couldn’t say “no” to. With the first one being so fantastic, I obviously couldn’t pass up the chance to try out some others from this brand.
Did I mention these wines are done in collaboration with Dave Matthews from Dave Matthews Band? He is the co-founder of the Dreaming Tree along with Steve Reeder. Neat right?!
“I make wines for people to drink. I don’t make wines for people to put in their cellar.” -Steve Reeder
Dreaming Tree Everyday White Wine
Scent: Very floral with a slight citrus scent
Taste: A hint of honey combined with a lot of citrus zest. The kick from the citrus almost gives this wine a slightly bubbly feel on your tounge. It reminds me of a wine that you would drink with some spicy dish. I think the two would pair perfectly.
This is a great, not too complicated, but well-balanced white wine. The flavors are really interesting together and I really enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t overly citrus-y. It is one that a lot of different people would enjoy! I would give this 4 out of 5.
Dreaming Tree Cabernet Sauvignon
Scent: Vanilla with just a touch of berry
Taste: There is a strong flavor of tannins, combined with some blackberry and a bit of cherry. It has a nice, easy flavor profile throughout with a light vanilla finish.
This wine is short, sweet and to the point. It gives off a nice punch of flavor that doesn’t linger on the palate too long. I would give this a 3.5 out of 5. Between this red and the red blend, I obviously prefer the “Crush” red blend over this because it is my absolute favorite. But this one is still a decent and easy to drink red wine.
Both of these would be a wonderful choice for gifting, sharing, or drinking all by yourself. At around $15, the quality is extremely good and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these options.
Have you tried the Dreaming Tree Chardonnay? It’s the only one I didn’t sample. Let me know your thoughts if you check these out! 🙂
*Cheers to the wines we love*
I have always wanted to try dreaming tree wines for the sole reason that I love Dave Matthews! A friend of mine loves the Crush red blend as well… I kind of forgot about it so thanks for reminding me! 🙂

Haven’t tried any of the Dreaming Tree wines yet. Need to get some wine for company coming. This might be a perfect choice.
