Little Black Dress White Wine

Last Wine Wednesday, I went through all of the red wines in the Little Black Dress brand. Now, as you would expect, I am breaking down each of the Little Black Dress White Wine, complete with my own ratings, tasting notes, and thoughts on each wine.

Most of these wines are really inexpensive, at around $10.99 a bottle. My local grocery stores almost always have sales on it too, so I usually pick it up for about $8. Amazing!

There are three wines that I have not included in my review, the white and red from the Divalicious Little Black Dress wines, and a pink wine that I wasn’t too sure about. If you would like to see a review on these, let me know in the comments:) I have also thrown in the tasting notes of the Moscato and the Riesling from this line. I am not a fan of Moscato’s, so I think my review would’ve had a little bit of bias, and the Riesling is not sold in any of my local grocery stores for some reason.

Little Black Dress White Wine

Little Black Dress Pinot Grigio

Tasting Notes: Bright apple and pear notes that give a balanced sweetness and freshness to this wine. This wine is has a really great flavor profile, it’s not overly sweet and has a nice balance to it.

I think for those of you that especially aren’t a huge fan of wine, this could be one that might grow on you because of its crisp flavors and sweetness. Excellent for the warmer months!

I would give this a 4 out of 5. Although I tend to stay away from sweet whites these days, this one has always been one of my all time favorite Pinot Grigios.

Little Black Dress Sauvignon Blanc

Bouquet: Fresh citrus, heavy on the lemon

Tasting Notes: Tart, bright green apple notes right away, followed by a hint of citrus and sweetness from melon additions. The finish on this wine was so smooth and fresh.

I read in this article about pairing wine and food that Sauvignon Blanc goes well with Asian flavors, and would agree. This particular wine pairs really well with a nice stir fry.

I would give this a 3.8 out of 5. I love the balance of this wine, an excellent choice for the warmer weather.

Little Black Dress Chardonnay

Bouquet: Very fruit forward, heavy on the notes of pear, lemon, and a hint of vanilla

Tasting Notes: This wine has a very fresh and bright flavor, with crisp pear, apple and citrus. It is balanced out with  a smoothness from the addition of vanilla and oak.

I enjoyed how this particular wine was not as heavy and buttery as other Chardonnays. It was extremely smooth and easy to enjoy. This is the type of Chardonnay that I really enjoy drinking.

I would give this a 4.2 out of 5.

Little Black Dress Riesling

Tasting Notes: Crisp, mid-range sweetness on the palate with smooth, light apricot and peach flavors with notes of fresh blossoms

Little Black Dress Moscato

Tasting Notes: Light on the palate, with notes of peach, apricot and a hint of melon. The sweetness of this wine is balanced nicely with some acidity. Less overwhelmingly sweet compared to other wines of its kind

Have you tried any of these wines? Which one is your favorite?

*Cheers to now having tried (almost) the entire collection of LBD wines*

  3. You make me want to try them and I am not a fan of whites… I have had a few of their reds before, I might have to try one of these out!

  4. I LOVE the LBD Moscato, it’s so nice and refreshing! I like to use it to make a spritzer with ginger ale so I’m not overwhelmed with sugar! Great review!
